First they both have a childlike naivety about them.  Longtime Winnie the Pooh fans are familiar with how Winnie the Pooh’s innocent personality has gotten him in some tight squeezes, especially when it comes to getting honey.   Po may have a bit higher maturity, but he still has a youthful innocence about him to also get him into just as much trouble.

Both bears love to eat.     If you know anything about these to bears that the preceding statement hardly requires any explanation.    Pooh’s food of choice is honey while Po seems to want to consume about everything in his path, but his favorites seems to be sticky been pies.   But either way they love to eat and given the chance they will eat until there is nothing left to consume.

Another trait that both possess is loyalty.   Winnie the Pooh is always there for his friends in the Hundred Acre Wood.   If Piglet , Eeyore, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo, Tigger, or one of his other friends need him he is always there to help.       Being the Kung Fu Panda really helps when a friend needs assistance, but Po has a natural loyalty that would still be there even if he did not have any martial arts skills.

Each of these characters has their own guru or personal adviser.  It is obvious that Po has Master Shifoo to help him and guide him.       Pooh’s advisor is not as obvious and he is not as straightforward as Shifoo, but he is always there to be a friend.  Christopher Robin, although a child himself, has always been there to give Winnie the Pooh the advice that he needs.

Pooh and Po , by first appearances may appear to be complete opposite, but if you just take a look at them you will see  that they are more alike than different and   could be brothers from another mother.

Milne.    Book publishers of the new Winnie the Pooh say that they are trying to appeal to a wider audience.    The question does remain to be asked if audiences across the globe and those in the United States like the “Americanism” of Winnie the Pooh.  Original fans of Pooh fell in love with the original Pooh.   Will these fans also embrace a more modern Winnie the Pooh?   That is a question that Disney and all those behind Winnie the Pooh have to be asking themselves as they create new products.

With those movies have been so equally fantastic soundtracks. No wonder Zooey Deschanel had to keep herself from becoming overwhelmed with the task of writing a song for the recently Winnie the Pooh movie. “So Long”, the song Deschanel decided to write for Winnie the Pooh, is played at the closing credits of the movie. She says that the song is about the love that friends share.
Although she would love to be nominated and win an Oscar for the song, one of the things Deschanel would also like to the do is meet to of the masterminds behind some of the classic and beautiful Disney toons. According to an article from the Baltimore Sun, Deschanel would love to meet Richard and Robert Scheman, the brothers that composed songs like: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, “Chim Chim Cher-ee”,”Winnie the Pooh”,”The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers”,”Heffalumps and Woozles”, and other great songs.

Along with the launch of the network will be some new and familiar shows. Winnie the Pooh short animations will be a part of the evening lineup of shows. Disney Junior joins several other cable stations like Nick Jr. and PBS Sprout, which are specifically for preschoolers. A new station and some new, yet familiar show like the Winnie the Pooh shorts will air. These will be newly created episodes, but Disney is currently running some short segments of Winnie the Pooh that are part of larger Winnie the Pooh movies. According to Kidscreen.com the new short animation will be based on a collection of Winnie the Pooh stories called Tales of Friendship with Winnie the Pooh.

The Ballad of Nessie will play before the actual movie Winnie the Pooh is played on the movie screen.  

Winnie the Pooh movie has already been released in the United Kingdom, Italy, and France.  The release for the movie Winnie the Pooh is set for July 15, 2011 in the United States.  The hand-drawn animated film will include our favorite friends from the Hundred Acre Wood: Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Kanga, Roo, Owl,Rabbit,  and Christopher Robin.
